Preheat your oven to 180°C and place paper cases in the cavities of the muffin tin.
In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
Add the egg, milk, oil and vanilla extract to the banana purée. Mix well until smooth.
In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the liquid and mix gently until there are no traces of flour. Do not overmix to avoid hard muffins.
Fill each tray halfway with muffin batter.
Add about 1 teaspoon of Nutella to the center of each dish.
Gently cover the Nutella with the remaining muffin batter, filling each case almost to the brim.
Sprinkle chocolate chips generously over the top of each muffin.
Bake in a preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool for a few minutes in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tip
🧁 For an even more gourmet variation, you can add a few crushed walnuts to the muffin batter for an extra crunchy texture. Don't forget to check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the muffins; if it comes out clean, they're ready to enjoy!🍫
