Preheat oven to 180°C.
Mix the flour, sugar, salt and vanilla extract in a bowl.
Add the butter, cut into small pieces. Mix to a sandy texture.
Stir in the milk and form a ball of dough.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out rectangles using the cookie cutter. Use a fork to make the perforations on each rectangle.
Place on a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown.
Leave to cool before serving.
