In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and vegan margarine over low heat. Stir until smooth, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture whitens. Add the vanilla extract and mix.
Stir the melted chocolate-margarine mixture into the bowl with the eggs.
Sift the flour and pinch of salt over the mixture and stir until smooth.
Pour the batter into the buttered and floured baking tin.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for around 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Leave the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool completely on a wire rack.
