Preheat oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter in a double boiler or in the microwave. Stir until smooth.
Add the sugar to the chocolate-butter mixture and stir until the sugar is completely incorporated.
Then add the egg and mix vigorously.
Add the flour and a pinch of salt, then mix gently until smooth.
If desired, add chocolate chips, nuts or dried fruit to the dough and mix.
Pour the dough into a buttered and floured individual ramekin.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the surface is slightly cracked but the inside is still melting.
Remove from the oven and leave to rest for a few minutes before serving. The center will still be runny and irresistible.
