In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, orange zest and cinnamon.
Add warm milk and beaten eggs. Knead until smooth.
Incorporate the soft butter and knead until well blended.
Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and leave the dough to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
After resting, degas the dough and divide into three equal pieces.
Braid the three pieces of dough and place the braid in a buttered cake tin.
Leave to rise again for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Brush the brioche with the beaten egg.
Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
Allow to cool before serving.
Tip
For an even more fragrant brioche, you can replace the orange zest with lemon zest or a drop of vanilla extract. 🍋
