In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy.
Add the flour and baking powder, then stir in the melted butter. Mix well until smooth.
If you like, add grated lemon zest for extra flavour.
Butter and flour the Madeleines tin.
Fill each mold cavity 3/4 full.
Place in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake for around 10 minutes, until the Madeleines are golden brown.
Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
