Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone cream until the mixture is smooth.
In a serving dish, quickly dip the sponge cookies in the coffee and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of the dish.
Spoon a layer of mascarpone cream over the cookies.
Arrange a layer of strawberry slices on top of the mascarpone cream.
Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream.
Cover the strawberry tiramisu dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to blend.
Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa powder (optional) and decorate with a few fresh strawberries.
